Hello, I am using GP Premium with Theme My Login plugin. To customize the registration form, it recommends,
“If you would like to edit this file, copy it to your current theme’s directory and edit it there.
Theme My Login will always look in your theme’s directory first, before using this default template.”
If I place a custom php registration file in the Generate Press Theme, will it be deleted if Generate Press updates? I don’t want to have my registration form go MIA by updating the Theme. I looked on google and on this board, and I couldn’t find an answer to this. It might be a dumb question, but I just wanted to see if this is ok before doing it. Thanks!

    Hi there,

If you use the parent theme, then yes.

However, you won’t lose it if you use a child theme: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-child-theme/

Let me know if you need more info 🙂
