updating failed?

I just installed a new plugin from plugmatter, and get this message now:
Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

I have contacted them, but while waiting on them (until tomorrow), I was wondering if you knew anything about this???

Is this happening when trying to update GP Premium?

no, it's happening when I'm in the editor on the page with plugin shortcode, EVERYTIME wordpress automatically updates the editor while I'm writing.

And the issue is resolved if the plugin is deactivated?

If so you will need to check with their support team.
