Update to GP Premium 1.6 Beta fails

When I try to update GP Premium 1.5.6 to GP Premium 1.6 Beta on my localhost install, I get the following error:
Warning: copy(): The first argument to copy() function cannot be a directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\www\beta.generatepress.dev\wp-admin\includes\class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 243
WordPress then deactivates the gp-premium plugin saying it doesn't exist.
When I check the plugins-folder there's just an empty gp-premium folder in there.
What went wrong?
Hmm, it sounds like a server permissions issue:

Thank you so much. That must have been the problem. (I just recently downgraded my xampp-installation to use another version of php. I must have messed something up in the process). It works just fine now.
Great to hear :)
