Are you referring to this section?

If so unfortunately that’s built manually with GenerateBlocks so it cannot be updated automatically.

You could consider replacing that section with WP Show Posts if you need it to update automatically.

I believe it’s because of styling. WPSP will only have the default post look unless you use the Cards module in WPSP pro:
