Update GeneratePress Permium

Hi GP support team,
I'm a GeneratePress premium user, and my site is still running on the 1.12.3 version and I want to update it to the current version. I couldn't find the update button under the dashboard> Generatepress menu, that why I downloaded it to install it manually. I tried to install the new Version in the plugin menu with "Add new" than I get a message, that I will overwrite the current version. Is it the right way to install the new GeneratePress premium version?

Hi there,
its quite a big leap from 1.12.3 to the latest version, which is why the auto update may not be featuring.
The method your using is the correct way to update the plugin in these cases.
As its such a big leap i would make sure you have a backup of the site made. I don't see there being any issues as we try to ensure backwards compatibility across all updates... buts it good to have that little extra security.
