Unwanted widgets on live version

Hi,

I have a little issue with my website that I think is related to Generate Press

Once I was done uploading my local version into server, I had some unwanted widgets (inside-right-sidebar & site-footer) showing on the live version.
Of course I went into the dashboard Appearence > Widgets to remove them back but everything looked normal just like the local version I was working on before

So I decided to actually hide those 2 widgets with some CSS display:none properties but they are still spoiling my webpage structure (see screenshots)

So I am here to hopefully know how to disable them for good and understand how this issue happened ^^

Theme version 1.2.4
Notable plugins : Visual Composer, Code Snippets

My site-header image is also slightly out of place compared to the localhost version :

I hope I gave enough informations, thank you !

Looks like you were able to resolve it :)

For others reading this:

When no widgets are added into a sidebar widget area, GP will add some default widgets.

You can remove these by adding your own widgets to the area.

If you don't want to add your own widgets to the area, you can remove the sidebar entirely: http://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/choosing-sidebar-layouts/

Thanks!
