Unique 'category' archive page layout, individualized for several categories.

Hi- I'd like to be able to create individual 'cagegory' archive pages with a different look and feel from my website. Looking in the Customizer, one can do either blog or individual post only. I have a domain that is different than my main website domain forwarding to a specific category and would like that to pull up looking like a unique website. Is this possible? Thanks for your help.
The main website is "ThePublicEditor.com" and the domain I have forwarding to the category is "DumpNFL.com".

Hi Leo- Thanks for responding.
I'd like to be able to determine the number of sidebars, and widget placement. I would also like to be able to place category specific images as appropriate. For example, the main site is 2 sidebars right, so perhaps, the category archive page would be 1 sidebar with different widgets and images from the main.

Thanks for the lead, Leo. The 'Content Aware Sidebar' plugin looks promising. I'll try it and let you know.
