Unexpected "repeating message" issue with blog page

Hello,

Without changing anything on my website (https://naturefolk.net), it suddenly started repeating "my secondary title" at several locations on my blog page (http://www.naturefolk.net/flyer). Those spots include: (1) The banner, (2) the top post and (3) in the widget area. Previous day blog posts don't seem to be affected, nor do other pages. Weirdly, on the desktop version, the forum page (http://www.naturefolk.net/forum) seems to be underlying the name of the blog page. On the mobile version, the issue is not as bad: Only the side widget repeats the "secondary title." The blog page is http://www.naturefolk.net/flyer

I didn't change anything from last night, or for the past few days actually ... and the site was fine during the day today. It was only tonight that I noticed the unusual problem.

Initial steps I took to correct it, (1) I cleared the cache and (2) updated the only two plugins that needed an update: Smashballons Instagram and Facebook. Note: I am using the Secondary Title plugin, and that appears to be where the text is repeating from, but in an oddball way, i.e. not systematic. However, and importantly, I've had that installed for a while and have never experienced a problem with it, and I am hesitant to delete since it's a pretty vital part of my posting format.

The other plugin I added was BBPress over the weekend. But the website has been operating fine for several days since the installation.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you!

Bob

Another clue: On my banner for the blog page (http://www.naturefolk.net/flyer) all the menu items disappear. The banner and menu appears unaffected for all other pages (i.e. Home, Movement, Forum, and About).

BTW: I have another blog site (http://www.gohydrology.org) that I also use Secondary Title and it is not having any problems at all.

Thank you for any ideas or guidance you can provide.

Bob

Good news: After going for my evening walk and reviewing my emails, I saw that Secondary Title had upgraded from 2.0.6 to 2.0.7. I then grabbed the older version of the plugin from the WordPress Repository and successfully downgraded it. It seems to have corrected the problem.

Thank you for letting us know. Glad you got it sorted.

Good to hear.

It's definitely good practice to check your plugins to see for any updates. Updates normally contain fixes for reported bugs and issues by the community.

It's definitely high up on the priority when you try to debug things. :)

Generally, what you do are:

1.) Check if WordPress, Theme and plugins are updated.
2.) Disable all plugins to see for plugin issues.
3.) Change theme to a Wordpress default to check if its a theme issue.
4.) Check the site's error logs. (perhaps its a wp-config issue or server issue)
