Unable to use Elements header on pages or posts.

I just purchased GeneratePress premium, and I'm currently having an issue getting the header element to work. I followed the steps shown in this video https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/ as well as following the steps on this post https://docs.generatepress.com/article/how-to-create-a-page-hero/ however, I am still unable to get the header to appear on any page.
