[Resolved] Unable to select “Hook Name” when adding new Block Elemnt

Hi,

I’m trying to create a footer block but when I go into Elements and create a new element I’m unable to select the “Hook Name”, whatever choice I make there it just shows the error:

“The “generatepress-block-element” plugin has encountered an error and cannot be rendered.”

The whole panel on the right under the dropdown “Block Element” disappears too.

I’m not sure what to do.

Have you tried disabling all plugins except GP premium?

It was the Gutenberg plugin. I thought that was needed to get the Gutenberg editor but it’s no longer required. This is an old site I’ve acquired so must have had that plugin from a long time ago! All sorted. Thanks.

Glad to hear that!

The Gutenberg plugin is a beta version plugin, its purpose is to test new features.

WP changed its default editor to Gutenberg a long time ago, the plugin is no longer needed to use block editor 🙂
