    Hi

I am getting this error CLS issue: more than 0.25 (desktop), it appeared on the 19/09/20 for 93 of my posts. I am unable to solve it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    HI there,

    Looks like you’ve fixed this?

Just ran your site through https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and this is the result:

    Hi there,

are you using JetPack to serve up your images as this looks to be the issue.
Main culprits are the Logo and the thumbnails in your sidebar Top Reviews.

If you open the Site in Chrome, right click and inspect the page and go to the Network tab in the developer tools, in the top bar you will see Disable Cache – check that, and beside it switch from Online to Slow 3G. Now refresh the page so you can see the CLS.

I am not sure if you can set Jetpack to exclude the logo or those sidebar thumbs.

Jetpack site accelerator was enabled on the site.

I have turned this off and also disabled lazy load to see if this will rectify the issue.

Also removed the logo, just to see if I can get to the bottom of the issue.

I did this “If you open the Site in Chrome, right click and inspect the page and go to the Network tab in the developer tools, in the top bar you will see Disable Cache – check that, and beside it switch from Online to Slow 3G. Now refresh the page so you can see the CLS.”

Could see the logo had issue loading but the sidebar “top reviews” seemed to load ok.

So after making a few changes the lab data shows the CLS in green.
Does this mean the issue is resolved as the other data is taken from the previous 28 days?

    Lad Data
    Cumulative Layout Shift
    0.034

Thats the correct – the Lab data shows the real test date you performed.
As more users visit the site and google collects more field data that information will update.
