Unable to edit colors

Hello,
For some reason the color editor doesn't edit colors for certain options. For example:

As you can see when I change the text color to yellow, nothing happens and it stays black. What's going on here?

And this example too. Background does change to yellow, but text stays the same..
Hi David,
it looks like Elementor is overriding the colours. In the Dashboard > Elementor > Settings you can disable Default Colours and Default Fonts and then it will use the theme settings.
