Unable to connect to the Disqus API servers

I can't connect to Disqus servers. The following error is shown "Unable to connect to the Disqus API servers".
Login data are correct. I tried with all the plugins deactivated, still nothing.
Could it have something to do with GeneratePress settings? I don't use child theme.

That sounds like a WordPress problem.
Can you try switching to a twenty-series themes and see if the problem is still there?
If so then it might be best to try some of the solutions on Google or start a topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/
