Unable to change primary menu from transparent to color and extend 100% behind logo. Is anyone else having this issue? Thoughts?
April 7, 2020 at 12:40 pm #1230327LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Try the custom navigation color options in that header element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#navigation-colorsLet me know if this helps 🙂
April 7, 2020 at 1:17 pm #1230365TimIt does not allow changes to the primary navigation color. Does change the sticky header color. I’ve reinstalled theme a couple of times and it acts the same,
April 7, 2020 at 1:57 pm #1230407LeoStaffCustomer SupportJust to make sure, I’m not referring to the color options in the customizer.
I’m referring to the custom navigation colors found in the home page header element/page hero:
https://www.screencast.com/t/K99lHO7IqGZApril 7, 2020 at 2:40 pm #1230452TimI’m able to do this on my other sites but, for some reason it does not work. I’m not following your suggestions. I’m pleading ignorance. Apologies for needing to be spoon fed.
April 7, 2020 at 2:42 pm #1230454LeoStaffCustomer SupportWere you able to find the header element/page hero for the home page yet?
Should be listed under Appearance > Elements.
April 7, 2020 at 3:05 pm #1230485TimI’m aware that you can add/change your navigation colors within the element. Same code and settings https://www.midcitiesdentist.com/ with different results which is confusing to me.
April 7, 2020 at 3:09 pm #1230487LeoStaffCustomer SupportHave you figured out?
I see the navigation color changed on this site already:
https://www.screencast.com/t/55UIF2G6nXApril 7, 2020 at 3:17 pm #1230492TimIt’s not what I need it to do. Look at midcitiesdentist.com where the shadow extends 100% and not just below text. The css and setting are the same.
The color for the primary menu is supposed to be controlled in Appearance > Customize > Colors > Header > Background.
I can control the sticky menu color but not the primary header background. Is there CSS that I can modify to make it work like the other site or is there somewhere else I should be editing?
April 7, 2020 at 5:26 pm #1230578TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
The main difference I’m seeing is the problem site isn’t using the Navigation as Header option: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/navigation-as-a-header/
Does enabling that option help at all?
April 7, 2020 at 6:47 pm #1230604TimUnfortunately thats not an option in this build. Here is the link. May be why I’m having issues I’m using your latest build. See screen shot. https://www.dentaldesignsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Screen-Shot-2020-04-07-at-8.40.57-PM.png
April 7, 2020 at 8:03 pm #1230650LeoStaffCustomer SupportDo you see a navigation logo uploaded in Customizer > Layout > Primary Navigation?
If so remove that then the navigation as a header should appear in Layout > Header.
April 8, 2020 at 7:01 am #1231172TimHere is what I’m able to see.

April 8, 2020 at 10:25 am #1231605TimYes it was downloaded and site built yesterday. Love the product and the service. Just an odd behavior and it was also used on 2 separate sites to prove out the issue on my end.
