Does, or can, GenerateBlock replace Sections?

I was trying to do a full image background with a shortcode that is 1/2 the screen.

What I have now is a GP Section with Lightweight Grid Columns installed (just read it’s not supported anymore) and a shortcode to the form.

Can this be recreated with just the new WordPress Blocks?

When I heard about the Lightweight Grid Columns not being supported anymore I remember Ultimate Shortcodes but I get a warning…

I have done what the screen says and still, the warning is there.

I don’t know how to use blocks well…

    Hi there,

Yes, GenerateBlocks can replace Sections if you’re using the Gutenberg block editor.
It also includes a Grid Block.

Lightweight Grid Columns is still a viable plugin but there are no plans to develop it further.
It is definitely the time to start learning Gutenberg 🙂

    I can’t figure it out.

I don’t know how to do a full cover image and have the text in contained.

    Okay figured it out.

What I wanted to be was the Cover image, full screen. Add two columns and have the left column have a title and shortcode, not full screen.

    Add cover
    Add Container
    Add Column (pick 50/50)
    Add Header
    Add Short Code

    Disable Elements: Content Title
    Page Builder Container: Full
