Typography selections don't stick

In the Typography Manager, I select the H1 tag in the Target Element menu for example, and change font family to Roboto Slab Google font, and font size to 42. Looks good. I hit publish.
Then I select the H2 tag to change that to Roboto Slab at 36px - and when I select H2 my H1 tag settings revert back to whatever they were before I set them up.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

can you share a screenshot of the Customizer with the H1 typographys settings open?
Sure - and I've included a screencast of what happens when I switch between revisions on H1 and H2 tags in the private info box.
You need to Add Typography for each of the Headings.
So once you styled your H1.
Click the Add Typography this will add a new element to the list, and you can set that to H2.
