We bought generatepress pro and would like to use it to redesign our website (we had the existing one professionally done). Now we already have some problems at the beginning and hope that we can get some tips / help here in the forum.
We are quite fit in the usual programs, but we notice that building a website with wordpress is a completely different world.
We have chosen the module Mason in the library, because it seems to be very minimalistic. Now to the most important points:
We have always used the avenir light font and cannot find it in the selection in elementor or customizer. How do I get this
installed and also so that it is saved as the primary font for the entire text?
Do I edit the pages via elementor, customizer or simply the generatepress tool? It is not really clear to us which one is best to use?
We tried to find a German tutorial to get started, but unfortunately we didn't find anything. Do you have any tips?
Hi Hans,
This article explains how to add local fonts:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-local-fonts/
Mason doesn't use Elementor, so you don't need to activate Elementor to edit it.
You can find all the GP documentations here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/
And some useful tutorial videos on GP's YouTube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/generatepress
You should watch some of the site template walkthrough videos, to get to know how a site is constructed, eg:

Let me know if you need further assistance :)
