Two menus showing

I am using the Spacious theme and on all devices I just want a hamburger menu to show. I have messed around with off canvas menu and primiary menu settings for about an hour and can't figure it out. Either 1) both a hamburger and a horizontal menu show or 2) if I disable the primary (horizontal) menu, when the hamburger menu icon is clicked there are no menu items inside the slide out box (it's blank)

How do I get one menu (hamburger) on all devices that is not blank?
