Twitter Emoji/ Twemoji

Hi,

I am using Ezoic Leap, which is a web performance optimization tool. It is telling me that it's recommended to remove/replace twitter emoji (twemoji) on my website. This isn't something that I am aware I am using so I would like to remove it, I'm not sure if it's something that's built into GeneratePress potentially? and if so is there a way to remove it? Any help appreciated thanks!

Hi there,

Not sure why its flagging a specific emoji on your site - but GP doesn't add any emojis.
But WP installs emojis by default - if you're not using emojis, then you can disable them with this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-emojis/

Or you will find most optimization plugins like Autoptimize provide that option in its settings.
