Hi Tom,
I’m attending a webinar with Nick and he suggested GeneratePress as a theme for WordPress. Besides being totally new using WordPress, I’m having difficulty following their tutorials when trying to make my website functional. My main difficulty, so far, is that I want it to be a website, not a blog, and I can’t even find how to remove the sidebar. Do you have tutorials specifically for Generate Press?
Thanks,

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
You can find some tutorials here: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/
To remove the blog from your site, do this:
1. Create your home page in “Pages > Add New” and publish it.
2. Go to “Settings > Reading” and set the “Front page displays” option to “A static page” and choose your newly created homepage.Hope this helps 🙂

Hi Tom,
I purchased GeneratePress Premium because I’m awestruck after not trying it earlier…it’s the bomb! I’m using the Elementor Pagebuilder and have the premium addons that comes with it. But, after downloading and activating all of the features in GeneratePress…when I am in the Elementor Pagebuilder I don’t see the addons like COLORS, background, blog, copyright, hooks, sections, etc.
I saw SECTIONS on the WP editor and created several sections, but when I refresh the page after working in Elementor…I only see the pages I previously created. There has to be a tutorial that illustrates the steps to non-coders like myself. Can you point me in the right direction?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Make sure you have all those add-ons activated:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/#activate-your-add-onsThen those options would be in the customizer:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/finding-the-customizer/All the info you need should be here: https://docs.generatepress.com/
Sections add-on is like a simple page builder itself so you shouldn’t be using it if you are using Elementor already.
Let me know if you need more info.

Hi Leo
Here’s a screenshot of the header:
If I can use the overlay to add text, I wouldn’t have to worry about this, eh?

Leo, I got it! I found the color changer in the Customizer! Now, if I could add space between the title and tagline…AND, id there a way to increase/decrease the font sizes?

Leo,
I added two buttons in the header and they are positioned to the right…stacked on top of eachother. I would like to center them side by side below the title and tagline line…can you give me the coding to enter into the css editor. Thanks again.
