[Support request] Turn off excerpt in Blog Archive page

I’d like to turn off the excerpt in my Blog Archive page, however without success. I’ve gone to Appearance/Customize/Layout/Blog. Under Content Type it only allows for Full Content or Excerpt. I’ve chosen Excerpt and then 0 for the Excerpt Word Count. No luck. Any other suggestions?

Hi there,

I believe you are using the custom excerpt metabox so the options in the customizer won’t work:

You will need to remove the content in the custom excerpt metabox.
