Trying to remove footer on certain pages

I created a Layout element and for Footer Widgets I selected 5 (which is what I had already set in the Customizer).
Then in the Display Rules tab, I set Location: Entire Site, and for Exclude I chose 2 pages.
The footer is still displaying on the 2 pages - what did I miss?

Just to confirm, you want to use 0 footer widgets for those 2 pages?
If so modify the existing layout element you've created to select 0 footer widgets and assign to those 2 pages.
Let me know if this makes sense.
A ha - that's the opposite of what it seems like I was trying to do. That makes sense, I'll give it a go!
