Trying to create a post grid

Hello guys,

I'm for some hours trying to create a post grid like these 2 websites uses:

https://waterwelders.com/

It looks like they have the same plugin and I saw it was wp show posts but I see the plugin is not updated anymore and I really cant do similar as I wanted, does someone knows how could I create a post grid like this? I would need literally just 2 posts categories in the front page of the website with 6 posts of each.
