Transparent colors & rounded corners

I'm new to Wordpress and chose the Generate Press for my theme due to it's clean look & simplicity to use. There are a couple of things that I would like to do with my website that I haven't figured out yet, in spite of purchasing the GP Premium package. I was hoping someone would be so kind to lend a hand?
The background color for my website is black and I would like all of my main content areas and widgets to have a transparent look and rounded corners. I realize that this could probably be done easy with code or that there may be a plug in that can do this. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
