Top Menu Item Not Centering
7 replies · Started by Nic on November 8, 2022
Hi There,
For some reason, the 1st menu item in my mobile menu doesn't want to center. I removed all additional css and the issue remains.
It used to be centered, however, I noticed it no long is and can't figure out what is going on. All other menu items are centered.
Sorry in advance if it is an easy fix!
I've added the link and login information to my site in the private information section.
Cheers!

Hi there,
Can you double check on the menu link in the WP menu builder?
I'm seeing two links for some odd reason:

I don't see anything out of the ordinary in the menu builder. For testing, I added a new page to the top of the menu (Terms of Service) and the issue remains.
The only thing I can think of that I'm doing out of the ordinary with my menu is using an icon plugin: Menu Icons. However, there isn't an icon on the first menu item where the issue is.
Can you disable the menu icon plugin to test?
Let me know :)
I've deactivated it and the issue remains.
I'm pretty sure it was centered yesterday. Today I spent some time updating my logos and tweaking the header padding. (not sure if that info is helpful to you).

On a closer look, you have random <a> tags everywhere:

Can't see how this would be a GP issue - at least we haven't had other reports on this.
Have you added any <a> tags recently anywhere? Maybe it's missing a closing </a>.
We might need to do some further debugging so a staging site would be a good idea.
Fixed! Thanks Leo. I had added a link tag in my footer (copyright section of GP) this morning and mistyped the closing tag.
I appreciate the help. That would have taken me years to find :)

No problem :)
