Top level menu link

Hi Tom,

Don't know if you can help with this, or if it is a WordPress problem.

When I create a link in the navbar and it has child pages, how do I make clicking on the top-level menu item do nothing?

I went to a website where this works and by inspecting the element in Firefox saw:

<a class="sf-with-ul" href="#" target="">Top Level</a>

It didn't say Top Level, but you know what I mean.

All I've been able to do is make it link to a blank page, which is pretty dumb.

Off to bed now, so no hurry.

Graham

Totally possible - while in "Appearance > Menus", add your top level item as a "Custom Link".

In the URL field, just add a hashtag: #

That should do it :)

Thanks Tom.

Would never have figured that out in a million years.

Well not without an awful lot of Googling anyway!

Glad I could help! :)
