Hello Tom
I have a problem with Uber menu, in support I have been told that my Theme interferes with the menu of Uber menu and I have to do a manual integration with the code that generates Uber menu, I do not just understand the video of Uber menu where it is explained the process
As you know the operation of Uber and possible interactions with Generate Press can you please tell me if the generated code is correct and in which part of the Generate Press I have to place the PHP code?
In my theme Child I only have the functions.php and style.css files
I understand that it eliminates the menu of the theme but what happens if in the future I no longer want Uber menu?

I’m not sure why it won’t integrate with GP cleanly, as GP meets all of their requirements: http://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/requirements
Can they be more specific about what the issue is with the navigation?: https://github.com/tomusborne/GeneratePress/blob/1.3.40/inc/navigation.php#L111-L121
November 17, 2016 at 6:27 am #245132jordiHello Tom,
Thanks for responding, I’m discouraged heheThe problem is that I tried to do a submenu with Tabs and it does not appear correctly, (attached image http://www24.zippyshare.com/v/t7nBGPP1/file.html) Uber menu support tells me that the theme menu is interfering in the Uber menu.

Hi Jorge,I’ve explained to you a few times now – you have residual styling from your theme breaking things. The first thing you need to do is use Manual Integration as I’ve explained previously.
Once you have the menu manually integrated and no longer have interference from the theme, then we can evaluate any further issues. Right now, the theme is preventing things from working properly, so naturally you’re not getting the outcome you want.
Regarding your setup, the [Tabs] should be a second level item. Making it a child of “Videos Y Audios” forces it into a single column below that menu item. You can put that Tabs block after all the other items if you want it on a new row.

Hello Chris,Thanks for your attention, I tried to avoid manual integration but for what it says is not possible, I have looked at the manual and video but I do not understand how to do the integration, I attach an image to tell me if the code is generated it is right.
Please. Where do I insert the code? In my child theme I only have the files functions.php and style.css

Hi Jorge,The first step is to find the #site-navigation block in your theme templates. Normally it’d be in the header.php, but if you can’t find it there, the Residual Styling Detection / Manual Integration Tool will help you locate it.
In the example where it is in your header.php, you’d just copy the header.php file into your child theme, then make the edit in the child theme header.php
Best,
Chris

November 17, 2016 at 10:23 am #245252jordiHello Tom,
Thank you for always responding so professionally not everyone does the same
I do not quite understand what you mean, the main page is clubtheriver.com, do you need data access to the wordpress panel? If you need access to the dashboard to which email can I send it?
Thanks again
Jordi
November 17, 2016 at 12:57 pm #245317TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperOk here’s what to try.
1. Remove the default navigation in “Customize > Layout > Primary Navigation” and set the position to “Hide”.
2. Add the function they give you in the “After Header” hook in “Appearance > GP Hooks” and check the “Execute PHP” checkbox.November 18, 2016 at 7:15 am #245564jordiHello Tom
Thanks for the reply, I have not tried it yet because Uber menu support has created a guide for this problem, (https://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/theme-integration/generatepress) they talk about putting A code in the child theme
My question is if with your solution when you update the theme will return the same problem
Before doing anything try in the future do not slow to happen
a million thanks
Jordi
November 18, 2016 at 9:14 am #245613TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s awesome that they did that – those instructions are perfect.
If you use a child theme or a plugin like Code Snippets, you won’t run into any issues when you update 🙂
