Hi there! Is my theme loading fast enough for you all? I think I’ve got it sped up now, but not sure if it needs more work. I’m on crappy Bluehost hosting so I don’t know how much is just the hosting service. Also, thanks for any tips if you see anything wrong!

Hi there,

suggestions:

1. Youtube videos are not good for performance.
You can use a plugin like this to stop the video script requests being made until the user clicks on them:

2. I would reduce the Excerpt length of your Blog so there is less to load on first request.

I'm working on "read more" or "continue reading" buttons, but noticed that clicking them causes Disqus comments to not load for some reason. I think it's because the links are using # to bring the user to where they left off. Any ideas on how to send them to the normal page link? Or to make Disqus work with the # feature?

For example:

Instead of

Actually, now they're working. That's so odd! It must be something to do with Disqus caching - it just hadn't caught up yet. o.O
