I have been running a wootheme (Canvas) for years now and just switched over to Generate Press. When I’m signed into wordpress, my site mirrors the changes I’ve made to show GP. However, when I’m logged out or on an incognito browser, my old Canvas theme is still showing (http://photographyroundtable.com/)

    Why is this?!

    Hi David,

    Try clearing W3 Total Cache.

    Let me know.

    Thanks Leo,

I just tried that twice and it is still showing the old theme

    Any other ideas?

I assume there’s still something going on with W3 Total Cache. Can you try clearing it and then deactivating the plugin?

These plugins don’t cache for logged in users, but do if you’re logged out.

    Thanks Tom,

It’s still not working. I cleared it again and then deactivated the plugin but it’s still coming up with the old theme.

    Any other ideas?

Does your server have caching? Using cloudflare or something similar?

If the front end of your website isn’t applying your back-end changes (especially something as major as a theme change), then there’s definitely some form of caching going on.

Would something like a backup/restore plugin do it? Or anything in Jetpack?

I have tried clearing all chache options, clearing all browser history, logging out of wordpress and logging back in and absolutely nothing is working. The old theme is still showing. What’s weird is that when I try to log into my WP admin page, the GP theme is showing. Nowhere else there.

Can you try asking your hosting if there’s any server caching going on?
