The response is not a valid JSON response - it does it when adding an icon

Hi Guys,
Started getting the old The response is not a valid JSON response. I Googled it and followed the instructions from many to add Classic Editor etc.
I've just noticed that I can save the page when adding elements - but If I add an icon to the element (headlines in my case) then the error pops up,
This is on a Page, not a Post. Hope this might help you in identifying the culprit.
Using Generate Press Version: 3.0.4
Using Generate Blocks Pro Version: Version 1.0.4
For now, I'll add the icons using CSS.

"The response is not a valid JSON response" is usually shortcode content related.
Does the issue occur on every post or page you try to save an icon on?
Can you try creating a test page with only the Headline block as the content and try adding an icon to it? Do you get the same error?

can you check for plugin conflicts by temporarily disabling ALL other plugins aside from GPP and GenerateBlocks

Yes, I had previously disabled all plugins but this time disabling and re-enabling them one by one seems to have done trick.
