I'm working with The Grid to be able to replace the standard post type to use their software.
Here's the updated file they helped customize.

I have the updated file located in the base directory of the child theme.

Is this the correct place to have it live?
Can you please tell me what else I need to do to get this working?
Thanks!!!

That looks like it should work in theory. It's hard for me to tell whether it would work or not, as I don't know what The_Grid() function does.
Is this what they told you to do to get it working? What about it isn't working?

Then technically that should work.
Which pages are you viewing that should be using the grid?
On the blog posts page.

I still have this on my Dev server and won't be on a live server for a bit of time still. Way faster to update 275 work samples on my machine at home that on the web.
Here's a download of the page source. Maybe you can see if it's even pulling the updated archive.php file.

Any help you can provide it greatly appreciated. This is for my personal rebranded company so I want it to be slick.
Thanks!

If it's the main posts page, you'd want to be editing index.php.
