    Tom,

I changed the container width to 1200px for the front page but this does not change the width of single posts? What do I do to change the width of single post, pages, etc to 1200?

Also, what is the best way of adding custom code so updates don’t mess them up again
    Please advice

    Hi there,

That’s odd, can you link me to a single post where it’s not working?

    Adding CSS: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/adding-css/
    Adding PHP: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/adding-php-functions/

Is the Full Width Content checkbox checked in the “Page Header Integration” metabox?

Tom, Under Layout-Header , the width is set to full (not contained). Is this what you mean?

I think Tom meant going in Dashboard to where you would edit your post content, scroll down to the second-last box on the right hand side, Page Builder Integration, and make sure Full Width Content is unchecked.

Thanks Leo /Tom : This solved it. Some of the post pages had this checked and it was fixed when I unchecked it. For my other question, if I use “simple css” plugin, and add all the custom css here, will it be protected during updates?

Yup all your CSS and php will be copied over through updates 🙂
