Text in widgets in blog sidebar ghosted out

Sorry the link is at the end of the 1st paragraph. Another issue is that I have set the link colour to blue and hover colour to red but the blue is not showing up The link is omraam mikhael Aivanho words of light

With regards to the link colors, you can edit this in Appearance > Customize > Colors > Content.

Thanks the link colour is resolved.

I went to customiser- widgets- insert simple link list in blog sidebar. I inserted my youtube channel link which is https. Got i invalid setting message. I think that might be because the link needs to be http. So I do not know how to get round this.

try giving the post a Title.
And then use the Disable Elements box found in the editor sidebar to disable the Content Title.
You may be getting some issues saving because of their being no title and then permalinks are getting mixed up.

The simple link list widget is from a plugin that's no longer being updated.

I don't think the issue here is the YouTube link itself but the plugin, it's just doesn't work anymore.

If you just want to insert a link to your YouTube channel, you can try GB's headline block.
