UPDATE: Nevermind. I sorted it out via inline style changes.
I’m using the secondary nav bar on a private dev site to share text announcements (no menu, though I had to assign a blank menu in order to get the bar to show up).
I added the following to a hook displaying inside the secondary nav.
<span style="color:#ffffff; font-size:18px; padding-bottom:12px; padding-top:4px;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">NEW:</span> Now you can get the latest freelance writing job leads in your inbox. <a class="button" href="https://allfreelancewriting.com/freelance-writing-jobs/">Subscribe.</a></span>
The text generally displays how I’d except… until I add a link.
In this case I’m using the button class for the link, but I have the same problem with text links. Wherever I add the link tag, the text or button breaks to a new line. I need the bar to display everything in a single line.
Is there any way I can force this to stay together on one line?
Thanks!
