[Resolved] Text formatting

I have a question about text formatting.

Why do posts on the homepage not show formatting such as bold text, strikethrough text, colored text, etc..

Here’s an example:

http://kleenkuip.ca/ You’ll notice the first post (Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Machine – E600) has no formatting to the text.

Here is it’s subsequent link post: http://kleenkuip.ca/carpet-cleaning-machines/carpet-upholstery-cleaning-machine-e600/ You’ll notice text in green and some strikethrough text that does not appear on the homepage.

Is there any way I can incorporate text formatting that appears on both the homepage as well as the originating post?

Hi Mike,

The html tags will be stripped in the excerpt, that’s a default behavior of WP.

You can insert a moreblock in your posts to keep the format of the content above the moreblock:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/
