Eric
When I use the customizer and use the “Buttons” dropdown to change the text color it doesn’t work. It seems like the button text is aligned with the link color under the “content” dropdown.
The problem is my buttons are red with white text that has to be set via the Content dropdown in the customizer which means the links in my content end up as white, which is a problem because of the background color of the body being white.
How do I address this?

StaffCustomer SupportHi Eric,
The button option in the customizer is for the default WP buttons, like comment submitting buttons, read more buttons(if you are not using a block element – content template), etc.
The buttons on the homepage are built with the
buttons
block of Generateblocks plugin, and they are styled individually in the page editor. I don’t think the customizer > colors > content > links can control their colors.Let me know if I miss anything.

Ok, thank you. Is it possible to save buttons built with the buttons block as a global style? I can’t save it as a reusable block but the buttons are used for different links.
Thanks.

StaffCustomer SupportDo you have GB pro installed?
If so, you can follow the below steps:
1. Create a new global style.
2. Copy/paste a buttons block to the global style.
3. Duplicate the buttons block in the global style to make it generate a new set of IDs, and delete the previously pasted buttons block. Then you will be able to assign this global style to your newly built buttons.
Let me know if I miss anything.

I created a global style in generateblocks for the buttons
When i apply it to the button it renders correctly however if i change the Link color under the Content section in Customizing Colors it also affects these buttons.
I want the buttons to have a red background and white text.
But the in-content non-button “hyperlinks” can’t be white because then no one will see them. How can I do this?
Thanks

StaffCustomer SupportCan you point me to a button that is using the global style while still controlled by the customizer color settings?

The ones on the home page, the red ones.

StaffCustomer SupportThe button color is definitely controlled by the buttons block setting:https://www.screencast.com/t/CgdRpR9qhuvB
I can’t see why the customizer option would affect it.

StaffCustomer SupportCan you provide an admin login so I can take a look at the backend?

Yes, I’ve placed in the private info area.

StaffCustomer SupportThe color setting in the customizer for the link of content would not affect the front end.
Can you give it a try?
