Template or hook for PHP code

I want to add som php code from a real estate listing API.
What is the best and easiest way to do it?
I know it can be done with a custom template which I have never tried. And if so I need to use a child theme, right?
Is it possible to do using; Inside Content Container hook, with a conditional in some way for the actual page?
Or maybe create a plugin? Or another way I have not thought about?
