Teach newb how to make POST Template, URL's?

Hi GP guys, hope you 3 are covid free.

I'd like to find out where the primary files are for NEW POSTs. Then I'll download and study them. Then I assume I can make a small change, save/upload, to have 2nd NEW POST style.
Am I on the right track?

I submitted a Fake Url, assuming the file location is universal

I'm not too sure what you mean - which files, exactly?

The template for posts can be found in the single.php and content-single.php files.

Like Pages can have multiple page templates? Cant Posts have multiple templates? is that what Elementor and Beaver Builder are for?
