    Hi Tom,

Is it possible to alter the behaviour of one text widget in the right sidebar & leave the others unchanged? In Customise -> Element spacing, the separating space for sidebar widgets is set to top: 40, right:40, bottom: 40 left: 40.

I’d like to keep that as it is for all the widgets except for 1 text widget where I’d like to reduce the left & right spacing to zero.

(climatechangepredictions.org – the 5th widget in the sidebar has a vertical banner with a width of 160 pixels, I’d like to replace it with a banner with a width of 300 pixels.)

I’d put my html skill level at moderate, so could you make the answer easy to follow? (I’ve looked at Simple Custom CSS but I’m not quite sure how to use it)

    thanks,
    Ian H

    Hi Ian,

Each widget has a unique ID which you can use in your CSS to be more specific.

If you use your Inspect Element tool, look for the ID of the “aside” element.

Let me know if that makes sense or not 🙂

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply, but I was hoping you could write out the code snippet and explain where it gets pasted to.

    thanks,
