tag not present with Use Navigation As Header

It was pointed out to me that there is no <header> tag on my website (https://theadminbar.com). After doing a little bit of digging, it seems that in any instance where I'm using the "use navigation as header" option there is no <header> tag for my logo/nav.

Is this a problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Really the only reason I'm using the "Use navigation as header" option is to push the nav menu over to the left by my logo and have a button all by itself on the right and the tutorial I found did it this way.

Hi there,

When the navigation as header option is enabled, there's no header anymore, only navigation.
I personally like using this option as it simplifies the HTML structure.

Bur if you think it might affect your SEO, you can disable the option.

We can help to achieve the same result using the header :)

Thanks, Ying! I guess I'm not sure if it affects my SEO or not. I will consult with someone on that.

If there's a way to get that look (like what's on theadminbar.com) with using the header though, I would be very interested!

Ahh I think I figured out the CSS to get the layout while still using the normal <header> 😅 ! At least, I hacked my way around it.

Awesome! Glad you got it sorted out :)

By the way, you have a very cool site, I like its design!

Thanks Ying! :)
