[Support request] Switching themes

Hello,

I am using GP-Premium and would like to switch themes form my https://naturefolk.net website from the Service Theme to the Charge Theme. My current “Service Theme” is actually significantly changed from the “out of the box” format. However, I am interested in going in a new direction with the website since https://naturefolk.net is the storefront for my non-profit, I wanted to make it more of a “business card” site, and migrate the creative content on it to other satellite sites.

My question is this: If I do this, does will I still retain my “blog posts” and “pages” in the background, or will it wipe the entire site clean?

Or is there anything else I should know?

Hi there,

installing a site from the Site Library will NOT remove any of your posts or other content such as images etc.
However we don’t generally recommend installing a library site on a live site, as you will need to make ‘changes’ such as updating the logos, menus, widgets etc that the site will import.

If you want to try we recommend moving your site to a Staging Site, so you can do the install, make any changes without affecting your live site. Most hosts provide an option to create a staging server for you.
