[Support request] switch to desktop view from mobile screen

Hi Tom,

I’ve just been asked if I can offer an option on mobile screens to switch to desktop view? Do you have any recommendations on how to do this using your theme?

Hi Lisa,

You can try this plugin to disable mobile functionality inside GP: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/generate-disable-mobile/

However I think you can either have it on or off and no options for the user to choose.

Since we use media queries and not a mobile app, this isn’t possible.

However, most browsers on mobile will have an option to request the desktop site these days.

For example, using Chrome if you tap the three vertical dots, you’ll see the “Request Desktop Site” option.
