SVG Site icon no longer working

Hi,
For some reason my SVG file used for site icon has stopped working. I recently updated to new GP & GPP - not sure if that holds any relation to it.
I have tried jpg and png files with same response

Hi there,
in Customizer > Site Identity can you remove the Retina Image as this is not required for SVG.
If the fields is empty then add an image to it and then remove it.

Thanks - the old turn it on and turn it off again trick seems to have worked!
