SVG Icons

I have read inthe documentation, that in GeneratePress 2.3, you can now choose to replace the standard font icons used throughout the theme with SVG icons.
But what does that mean? What is a svg Icon? Does this affects my fonts? Have you an example for such an svg icon?
And is it advisable to switch to svg icons? Or can i run in some problems with that?
Hi there,
Those are referring to the theme icons such as dropdown arrow and hamburger icon.
It will not change other elements on your site.
And yes it is the suggested setting.
We've the SVG option to default in new installs.
