Subcategory can be accessed from many links

Hi GP team,
I am really baffled by this one and hope you guys can help me. I have a parent category called "gay travel destinations" and a sub category called "Southeast Asia", which can be accessed with this link:
My issue is that if I change the "parent slug within that URL" to anything, I can still access the southeast asia category. If I remove the slug parent from that URL, I can still access the subcategory too. Example:
This happens for any of my subcategories on my blog. I think it's always been like this, I just never noticed it.
Any ideas and suggestions on how to fix this please?

I believe this is WordPress guessing the URL you're looking for.
