Sub-Navigation - using third level or more sub-menus

This issues is technically with "sub-sub-navigation". When a menu item in sub-navigation has a third level the sub-menus continue to open to the right. This forces the windows to scroll (left-right) and additional levels do not even show on screen.
It would be nice if the menu was responsive to the placement and open in the opposite direction.
