Sub Menu stays open on small screens

Hello islanders,
I have read a lot of posts here on the forum but can not figure out why the sub menu stays open on small screens.

When I click courses, the sub menu expands, I then click a course category which also expands to show me the nested course options.
Unfortunately, this fills up smartphone screens so I wonder if that has been fixed yet (and I missed it).
I use the latest version of the them and pro plugin.
Under Layout > Primary Nav > Navigation Drop-down = Hover.

Hi there,
This is fixed in the next version of GP which will enter public testing this month.
Since your navigation can be sticky and has a lot of sub-menu items, we suggest using the Off-Canvas Panel on mobile: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/off-canvas-panel-overview/
It's much more user-friendly and will prevent some menu items from being non-accessible.
