Hello Support !
Patience, patience, patience with me.
This is an embarrassingly simple question
which I could not answer myself:
See
http://www.johnottomagee.com
All of the content on the site, and
it is not much, very minimalistic, is
in the form of a page.
I want to experiment with a blog.
Those posts are then posts.
How do I set things up so that the
reader can go to my blog, and so that
the individual posts are streamed?
Thanks.
John
Hi there,
Those posts are then posts.
I'm not sure what you are referring to here.
The posts/pages/blog/archive structure is all handled by WordPress core.
Maybe an article like this would help?

The WPBeginner website is an excellent resource for learning general WP functions:

Thanks for the fast and helpful response, Leo.
I was unclear in my description.
Let me, please, try again.
I want a blog on my site.
Blog-entries are posts, as opposed to pages.
How do I set up a page on my site,
which, in turn, hosts my blog-posts?
John
Hi John,
If you go to dashboard > posts, you can create new posts there.
Once posts are created, go to dashboard >settings > reading, you can choose Your latest posts as the homepage.
Or you can go to dashboard > pages, create a static page, give it a title, eg. blog, hit publish (no content is required for this page). Then go back to dashboard >settings > reading, you can choose a static page as your homepage, then assign blog as theposts page.
That worked, Ying !
Thank you very much.
John
You are welcome :)
