Denis
I am experiencing an issue with the “Sticky Post” functionality in WordPress when using GeneratePress Pro as my theme.
I have set up a static page as my homepage instead of the default blog roll, and I believe this could be causing the problem.
When I try to make a post sticky, it does not appear at the top of my post list as expected.I have considered the possibility that one of the many plugins I have installed might be causing a conflict with the sticky post feature. However, I am unsure how to determine if this is the case.
Could you please advise me on the following:
Is there a known issue with sticky posts when using a static homepage in GeneratePress Pro? If so, are there any built-in features or workarounds that I can use to resolve this issue within the theme?
Is there a way to identify and resolve any potential plugin conflicts that could be causing the sticky post feature to malfunction? I have several plugins installed on my website, and I would like to know if there is a recommended method for troubleshooting this issue without deactivating all of my many plugins?
I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your guidance in resolving this problem.

I figured out by doing some tests that if I use the latest posts option instead of the static page, the sticky post feature works.
Now I have to figure out now how to redirect a menu item from my static page to the blog roll, using custom links, I suppose.
I was using a category to redirect to my blog roll, and that’s why the sticky post did not work…

StaffCustomer SupportHi Denis,
Just checked your site, and the homepage is the latest post currently.
I have set up a static page as my homepage instead of the default blog roll, and I believe this could be causing the problem.
How did you add posts to that static page?

It appears that I have not been able to successfully update my WordPress backoffice to show a static page as the homepage on a regular browser, despite not adding any posts to this static page.
However, when I view my website on my cell phone, the static page is displayed as intended.
The issue of the homepage showing the latest post on a regular browser could potentially be due to WordPress not updating correctly or browser caching issue?

StaffCustomer SupportHowever, when I view my website on my cell phone, the static page is displayed as intended.
I just checked your site again, this time I can see the static page on my computer, so there was some cache issue before.
The static page doesn’t have any post loops, all content is static.
I’m confused about the sticky post issue you mentioned if there’s no post on the page.
Can you explain a bit more? or point us to where we should be looking at?

It’s ok. What I need to figure is to install a menu item on my static page that links to the blog roll. I figured what was wrong and it’s not GeneratePress the culprit. My menu item on the static page is redirecting to a category and not the blog roll. Thanks for your time.🙂
