Sticky NAV Formatting

I formatted the NAV to have a dark color background, and when I am in customize mode, it appears, but when I view my site, it disappears and is the same color as the rest of my website.
Hi Adam,
1. I'm not seeing a customizer setting that sets the navigation background color to a dark color. How did you set it?
2. You have this CSS which sets the navigation color to white:
